  • HB BODY PLASTOFIX P340 plastic primer / adhesion promoter

HB BODY HB BODY PLASTOFIX P340 plastic primer / adhesion promoter

HB BODY P340 PLASTOFIX is a clear plastic primer (adhesion promoter) for plastic car parts available in spray can or 500ml metal can. P340 plastofix goes on first as a thin, invisible layer that the primer and paint can hold on to, so the repair does not peel or chip later. It also works on metal parts and on filler if additional adhesive layer is necessary. Ready to use. Works on many surfaces - all car plastics except pure polyethylene (PE). Quick to work with: You can paint over it after only 10 minutes at 23°C (73°F), using any acrylic or epoxy primer and topcoat. The layer is transparent and has no effect on the paint shade on top. One litre covers about 30 to 35 m² at 10 microns dry film thickness. P340 PLASTOFIX Directions for use Clean the part: The surface must be dry and clean, with no grease, wax or dirt on it. Keep it clean and dry at every step that follows. Sand if needed: Metal parts and polyester filler need to be sanded first with a suitable grit paper. Bare plastic parts do not need sanding, only cleaning. Degrease: Wipe the surface with degreaser. Use two cloths: one to wipe the cleaner on, one to wipe it off. Always wipe it off while it is still wet, using a clean dry cloth. Remove dust: Blow the part with clean air, then wipe it with a tack cloth to pick up the last dust. Get the product ready: Shake the tin or can well. Nothing else is needed, the product is ready to use. Apply 2 very thin coats. Together they should give 20 to 30 microns (0.8 to 1.2 mil) of dry film, which is a very thin layer. Wait between coats: Leave 5 minutes at 23°C (73°F) after the first coat before you spray the second one. Paint over it: After 10 minutes at 23°C (73°F) you can apply any primer and topcoat. P340 PLASTOFIX Care & safety instructions This is a professional product. Always wear protective equipment and work in a room with good airflow. Read the safety data sheet (MSDS) and the warnings on the label before you start. Do not use it when the temperature is below 10°C (50°F). Do not use it on pure polyethylene (PE) parts. It will not grip properly on that plastic. Do not thin it. Adding thinner or reducer will weaken how well it grips. Store it in the original unopened tin in a cool place, 5 to 25°C (41 to 77°F). It keeps for 24 months. Specific gravity: 0.87 ± 0.02 g/cm³. Solid content: 5 ± 2% by weight. VOC (2004/42/EC): category IIB(a), limit 850 g/L. This product contains 850 g/L ready for use.

  • RADEX RUST STOP anti-corrosion agent

RADEX RADEX RUST STOP anti-corrosion agent

RADEX Rust Stop is a rust converter that performs the functions of a primer. Small 50ml package has a brush included, 250ml plastic bottle, 1l metal can. Radex rust stop application If not used entirely in one go, then use a different brush and different bottle, so the entirety of the product does not react to rust particles. The product should be applied to a sanded and mechanically cleaned metal surface with a brush to neutralize the deeper rust pores, and to avoid "rust bubbles". After 3 hours at 20 C, it forms a durable black matte coating, which can be further processed with the necessary materials (putty, other primer, or directly paint). Consumption 100ml ~ 1.5 square meters.
