Description
Mercasol 1 is a thin, solvent-based, easy-to-spray anti-corrosion liquid based on wax, sulfonate and oil for internal surfaces (sills, door frames, etc.). 600ml total volume spray can and 1l net volume bottle for use with anti-gravel gun. The product has very good anti-corrosion properties for a long time if the surface is prepared correctly. The wax dries to a brown, oily, moisture-repellent coating. Mercasol 1 has been tested for compatibility with the most common anti-corrosion protection systems on the market.
Mercasol 1 is intended for the protection of vehicle cavities, flanges and joints against corrosion. Mercasol 1 can also be used as a primer on exposed surfaces in combination with Mercasol 3 and 3AL underbody corrosion protection products.
Mercasol 1 application guide
The surfaces to be treated must be dry and free of rust, dirt, salt and oil. The 1 liter bottle of Mercasol 1 is primarily intended for use with a compressed air gun. Mercasol 1 aerosol is applied with the nozzles provided in the package. Application should be carried out indoors at a temperature of +15 to +25°C. Drying time depends on temperature and humidity, at +23°C and 50% RH, drying time is approx. 8 h. If Mercasol 3 or Mercasol 3AL is planned to be used, Mercasol 1 must be allowed to dry for 1 hour before applying Mercasol 3 or Mercasol 3AL.
